Bone Broth Collagen Powder - the best way to more collagen.
Nordic Bone Broth Collagen with Hyaluronic Acid
Functional Future’s Nordic Bone Broth Collagen with Hyaluronic Acid is 100% dried bone broth derived from grass-fed cattle raised on regenerative pastures in the Nordics. We use only minimal processing and select raw materials of the highest quality. Our collagen powder is organic, grass-fed, sugar-free, and low in fat.
It is the ideal supplement to support a balanced and varied diet, giving you the benefit of collagen and hyaluronic acid in a practical and sustainable form.
A Carefully Developed Powder with Proven Content
Our advanced collagen powder is formulated with documented high levels of collagen and hyaluronic acid. We use techniques like FTIR and HPLC to ensure precise measurement of key components. Third-party testing with ICP-MS confirms the absence of heavy metals, meeting strict safety and efficacy standards.
We do not use enzymatic or chemical treatments, preserving the molecular integrity of both collagen and hyaluronic acid for maximum bioavailability and functionality.
Documented content includes:
-
Protein (96%) via FTIR
-
Collagen from types 1, 2, and 3
-
Hyaluronic acid via HPLC
-
High levels of glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline compared to plant-based protein powders
What’s the Problem with the Collagen Industry?
There are many collagen products on the market, and it can be a jungle to find one that matches your standards for purity and sustainability. In 2020, I (Thomas, Co-Founder) searched for a collagen supplement that met my high expectations. I quickly dismissed fish collagen due to concerns over fishing practices and their environmental impact. Most beef collagen products were neither organic nor transparent about sourcing.
What shocked me most was discovering how few companies actually handle their raw materials. Most collagen brands outsource everything to large manufacturers without ever seeing or understanding the supply chain. These companies often act as marketing shells focused on beauty claims instead of quality nutrition.
Collagen today is often ultra-processed into a white, tasteless powder that bears little resemblance to real food. The traditional collagen industry has sacrificed sustainability for convenience, feeding an insatiable beauty market.
Our Mission: Making a Better Collagen Powder
I assumed I’d have to make bone broth forever to avoid low-quality collagen. That changed when Frederik and I received an innovation grant of 1.3 million DKK to develop the most sustainable collagen powder to date, based on biodynamic and organic marrow bones from Denmark.
Over 18 months, we worked closely with the Danish Technological Institute to create a unique product we’re proud of. Frederik even rebuilt our kitchen in Herlev to install a 2.5-ton bone grinder and 600-liter steel tanks for processing.
Although we eventually had to move away from purely Danish biodynamic bones due to limited supply, we found excellent organic alternatives from Danish and Swedish farmers. Our Nordic collagen powder is a high-quality product you can feel good about.
Innovative and Sustainable Manufacturing
The bone broth used to make our powder is crafted from free-range, grass-fed Nordic cattle raised on sustainable farms. This broth is then gently reduced into powder using a custom spray-drying method developed with the Technological Institute.
Our process carefully controls temperature, pressure, and concentration to preserve sensitive molecules like collagen and hyaluronic acid. It ensures a documented content of protein, collagen, and amino acids in highly absorbable form. Hyaluronic acid, which is typically destroyed by heat, is retained.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, essential for skin, hair, joints, tendons, and more. Our production achieves a collagen peptide molecular weight of about 8 kDa, which may allow for slower breakdown and prolonged exposure in the gut.
Compared to plant-based protein powders, this product contains significantly more glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, and arginine. It is non-GMO, third-party GMP tested, and free from heavy metals.
A Truly Upcycled Product
This powder is made using valuable bone matrix raw materials that would otherwise go to waste. That makes our collagen powder a true upcycled product with a unique sustainability profile. The packaging is fully compostable and biodegradable. Most of the energy used is from Nordic biogas plants. No preservatives or additives are used.
Hyaluronic Acid and Solubility
Hyaluronic acid is nature’s best moisturiser. Its concentration in the powder depends on seasonality, raw material source, and drying conditions. Some batches may dissolve more easily than others. This is not a defect but a sign of higher hyaluronic acid content.
If solubility is a concern, the powder works well in smoothies, cooking, and baking. You can also choose our capsule version for a more convenient option. And remember, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee—no questions asked.
