Bone Broth - the most optimal bone broth out there.
Functional Future Nordic Bone Broth with Hyaluronic Acid is 100% bone broth liquid. The marrow and joint bones come from free-range, grass-fed, and ethically slaughtered cattle from sustainable Danish farms. We always use minimal processing and carefully selected ingredients of the highest quality. Our bone broth is either organic or biodynamic, grass-fed, sugar-free, and low in fat.
The flavor is carefully balanced between vegetables, herbs, salt, and umami. The salt content in our Bone Broth is the lowest on the Danish market. We work closely with Mikkel Hesselager from "Spis Min Gris" to supply our organic beef marrow bones. For our biodynamic bone broth, marrow bones are supplied by "Hedeagergaard," which raises free-range and grass-fed cattle.
Spis Min Gris is the only larger supplier of farm-slaughtered, organic Danish meat. They prioritize meat quality as highly as animal welfare and ethics. At Spis Min Gris, they specialize in identifying the best organic Danish farms that share our approach and values regarding animal welfare and organic meat production.
Hedeagergaard is one of the few suppliers of top-quality biodynamic meat. You can read more about them here.

Why do we make the best Bone Broth you can find?
Our Bone Broth products are made for those like me (Thomas, Co-founder) who need to cook liters of bone broth at home every week to add this nutrient-rich liquid to their diet.
This used to be a major inconvenience for my family, with a huge pot simmering on the stove for days. Our apartment had an unfortunate smell of cooked bones, and I was often frustrated when my broth sometimes formed gel and sometimes didn’t.
I also had no idea how much collagen and hyaluronic acid the product contained, so I didn’t know how much to drink each day. Not to mention the difficulty in sourcing the best raw materials for my stock to avoid heavy metals, pesticides, and antibiotics. Even though flavor was secondary for me, it was hard to achieve a consistently drinkable product. It is quite important to drink something you enjoy, especially if it’s a product you use multiple times a week.
I bought my first marrow bones in 2017, and ever since, we’ve boiled thousands of liters of bone broth to achieve optimal taste and content. The photo below shows our upgrade from 35-liter pressure cookers to a 600-liter pressure cooker, making the process easier for us, the product cheaper for you, and saving resources.
Besides the product’s content, it is equally important for us to produce it sustainably and ethically with respect for biodiversity and resource waste. Our mission to create a Danish and grass-fed product became a reality through our collaboration with Mikkel Hesselager and dedicated Danish farmers.
There are farms in Denmark producing sustainable meat and marrow bones. These farms do not contribute negatively to carbon emissions like conventional farming, and we want to support this positive development.
Our Bone Broth is therefore a product that strongly aligns with our vision of supporting your hero’s journey to thrive so you can give back to those who matter most to you.
What is the problem with the existing Bone Broth industry?
You’ve probably encountered this challenge too: no existing product on the market lives up to your high standards. The problem with conventional bone broth production is twofold. First, the integrity of hyaluronic acid is lost due to prolonged exposure to high heat in the typical production process.
Second, these broths often sit on shelves for extended periods, negatively affecting both flavor and content. This realization strengthened my determination to create a bone broth that preserves vital nutrients and delivers a fresh, rich taste.
An innovative and sustainable product
The biodynamic and organic Bone Broth liquid is made from free-range Nordic and grass-fed cattle from sustainable farming. The boiling process is specially developed in collaboration with the Danish Technological Institute to control factors like temperature, cooking time, pressure, flow rate, raw material concentration, while preserving molecules such as collagen and hyaluronic acid.
The project was funded for approximately two years by the Innovation Fund Denmark under the INNObooster program. You can read more about the development and results here in collaboration with the Technological Institute.
This specially optimized production process ensures a high content of protein, collagen, and essential amino acids in an easily absorbable form, while also preserving hyaluronic acid, which is typically destroyed by excessive heat.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, making up over a third of all tissue. It is crucial for skin, hair, connective tissue, tendons, muscles, and more. Our product is easily digestible and well-tolerated by all. Our process results in collagen peptides with a molecular weight of about 8 kDa (kilodaltons).
This can provide benefits compared to smaller collagen peptides by reducing breakdown and allowing for prolonged exposure in the gastrointestinal tract. However, collagen peptides will likely be broken down to a molecular weight that ensures both efficient absorption and exposure.
Compared to plant-based protein powders, our product contains high amounts of certain amino acids, including glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, and arginine. Functional Future Bone Broth is certified GMO-free and has been third-party GMP-tested and certified free of heavy metals.
The product is, by definition, an upcycled product, as our company has unique knowledge of how to utilize a valuable bone matrix raw material that would otherwise go to waste. This makes our bone broth production a product with a unique environmental and sustainable profile.
The product is primarily produced with electricity from Nordic biogas plants. Our products contain no preservatives or additives.
Hyaluronic acid is key to getting the most out of your collagen:
Hyaluronic acid, also known as "nature’s best lubricant," is a disaccharide with a chemical composition that easily binds water molecules. It acts as a hydrator, meaning it helps bind water to the body’s cells.
Usage and allergens:
Enjoy warmed or as an addition to hot and cold dishes. One serving (≈ 130 mL) provides 7.4 g collagen from 9.75 g protein per day. Third-party GMP tested for heavy metals and allergens. A natural thin fat layer and sediment may occur. The consistency of the liquid may vary.
Bone Broth is a sipping stock that can be enjoyed warm as is (consider adding a pinch of salt and a splash of lemon juice) or used to enhance the flavor and nutrition of stews or vegetable/meat sauces.
Everyone can use our Bone Broth, but it is particularly suited for a lifestyle that prioritizes a clean, premium, and Nordic-made collagen and hyaluronic acid supplement. Not suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Free from gluten, lactose, soy, GMOs, heavy metals, pesticides, antibiotics, growth hormones, preservatives, synthetic fragrances, colors, and flavors.
Storage and shelf life:
Keep refrigerated (2-8°C) upon receipt. Unopened shelf life is 9 to 12 months depending on the production date. Once opened, it lasts for 4 days. Please recycle the container to help protect the environment.
What is the difference between our Organic Bone Broth liquid and our Organic Bone Broth Collagen powder/capsules?
To produce our collagen powder, we simply take neutral Bone Broth liquid and gently dry it into a Bone Broth powder. It is Bone Broth condensed into a convenient and neutral-tasting powder.
However, some hyaluronic acid is lost during the drying process, so you should choose our liquid Bone Broth if a high concentration of hyaluronic acid is important to you. Our liquid Bone Broth is flavored with vegetables and herbs and also adds more umami to meals, making it another reason to choose the broth liquid.
Most people combine the two products by taking collagen powder daily and supplementing with liquid Bone Broth a few times a week. Our Bone Broth Collagen powder in capsule form provides you and your family with an easy way to take your collagen supplement.
We recommend using our Bone Broth collagen powder if capsules are not important to you, as you get more collagen powder for your money. Literature supports daily collagen intake between 2.5 – 10 g depending on your needs, so both capsules and pure powder are good alternatives.
Our biodynamic and organic Bone Broth is a unique liquid made from marrow bones of free-range, grass-fed cattle raised using sustainable and regenerative methods.
Bone Broth liquid is carefully crafted to preserve natural components like collagen and hyaluronic acid – nutrients essential to the body.
Bone Broth liquid is a perfect solution for those who want to avoid the hassle of cooking large batches of stock at home.
For many, it is difficult to ensure that homemade Bone Broth has the right gel consistency and optimal nutrient content. Our product guarantees consistent and balanced quality every time.
In our specially developed process, we work closely with the Technological Institute to best preserve nutrients. By controlling temperature, time, and pressure, we ensure a Bone Broth with high protein content and essential amino acids like glycine and proline.
Our approach is part of our larger mission to create innovative foods that combine sustainability and well-being.
Bone Broth can be enjoyed as a warm drink or used to add nutrition and flavor to various dishes. With its rich flavor of vegetables and herbs, it provides a natural source of umami.
We go beyond just functional nutrition by supporting a circular economy. Our production is an example of upcycling, where valuable raw materials like bone matrix are optimally utilized, reducing waste and protecting the environment. This makes our Bone Broth a product that not only tastes good but also contributes to a more sustainable future.
Our Bone Broths are not yet available outside of Denmark. We expect to launch our Bone Broths in 2026. Click here, and subscribe to receive news for when we launch.
